The Month of July

So...I have been gone pretty much all of July, so I haven't been able to write anything.  So I'm gonna try and summarize all of the amazing adventures of this month, which is basically just girls camp and australia.

GIRLS CAMP
Still cannot believe it was my last year at girls camp.  Not gonna lie, it's kinda depressing.  Especially since girls camp has always been one of my favorite weeks of the whole year.  This year was different since we had no senior staff which was stupid, but oh well it was still a blast.
It was a week full of hikes, laughs, trees, friends, water, games, pictures, stories, naps, friendship bracelets, food, devotionals, campfires, songs, inside jokes, and most of all...

^ ^ ^ POWER POSES ^ ^ ^

I don't know what I would have done without going to girls camp every year.  It is where my testimony grew the most.  I could count on feeling the spirit there every year and I am so grateful for the experiences I had and the things I learned there.  This years theme was "Angels Among Us" and I know that there truly are angels all around us that are there to watch over us and lift us up in times of need.

and now for the biggest adventure of all

AUSTRALIA

fav pic of the trip. I was kinda freakin out
cause I am now in love with kangaroos <3

Okay, so basically I loved Australia. It was absolutely amazing!  I was there for 20 days with a program called People to People and I was a Student Ambassador. I went with 39 other students and 4 leaders.  I was the only one from Utah.  The rest were from California, Indiana, New Hampshire, and Vermont.  We started the trip in Cairns and then made our way down the coast to Sydney.
Highlights of the trip?
  • Skyrail of the rainforest
  • Snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef
  • Farmstay-whip cracking, bugs, sleeping bags, bonfires, square dancing...what more could you need?
  • Holding a snake, baby crocodile, and koala bear
  • getting to pet a kangaroo
  • Going to a crocodile farm at night
  • Going thru Capricorn Caves
  • Trying to throw a boomerang
  • Sandboarding
  • More snorkeling
  • Feeding dolphins
  • Star gazing
  • Surfing
  • Home stay
  • Sky Walk
  • Sydney Opera House
  • Opal Store
  • Repelling off 200 ft cliff
  • Sydney Harbor Cruise
